Not every job needs a stone-filled cage. The same double-twist weaving machines that make gabion baskets also weave plain mesh in rolls - and unrolled between posts, that mesh makes a fence that outclasses both chain-link and welded panels on rough ground. The weave flexes, so the fence line follows ridges, gullies and rocky slopes without the gaps you get when rigid panels meet uneven terrain. And because it is woven, not spot-welded, a cut or branch-strike stays local: the double twist holds the rest of the roll tight.

Why woven mesh instead of chain-link for a farm fence?

Chain-link is cheaper per meter and fine for flat town lots. On working land the difference shows up fast: chain-link is thin wire that cattle stretch and cutting tools open in seconds, while double-twist mesh at 2.2–2.7 mm takes leaning stock and casual vandalism far better, and a hole in it does not run.

How does it handle uneven or sloping ground?

The roll simply follows the ground. You set posts to the terrain and tension the mesh between them; on a rocky slope the weave absorbs the change of grade instead of tenting or leaving a gap underneath, which is exactly where animals push through and predators enter.

Which coating for coastal or humid property?

Inland, standard hot-dip galvanized lasts for decades. Near the sea or in permanently humid country, Galfan or PVC-coated wire is the honest recommendation - the upgrade costs less than replacing the fence twice.

Is it hard to install?

No. Set posts, unroll, tension with a come-along or gripe bar, tie off every two meshes. A two-person crew runs 150–200 m of fence line in a day with no special tools.
