What the V-Bends Actually Do
The three triangular bends formed along the top and centre of each panel are not decoration. They push the panel out of plane, which turns a flat sheet of welded mesh into a structurally stiff panel - the same reason a corrugated sheet is stiffer than a flat one. The practical result is that a curved panel resists bending and impact at a wire gauge that would sag if it were flat, and it keeps its shape after a hard knock instead of staying dented.
That stiffness is what lets the system use a lighter gauge and still hold a straight fence line across long runs. It also means fewer posts are needed to keep the line true, which is where most of the cost saving on a perimeter project actually comes from - not from the panel, but from the posts and the concrete you pour under them.
Panels are welded at every intersection on automatic welding lines, so the mesh aperture stays consistent across the whole panel and the welds sit flush. A consistent aperture matters more than it sounds: it keeps the fence looking uniform when several hundred metres are installed together, and it avoids the loose-wire defects that show up on hand-welded or under-welded panels after a season outdoors.

Panels, Posts and the Coating System
Standard panels run in a range of heights with square or rectangular apertures, welded from galvanized or black steel wire before finishing. Post options depend on the project: square hollow section posts for general industrial use, rectangular posts for heavier runs, and peach-shaped posts where the client wants the anti-climb profile and the decorative look. Post fixing can be cast-in or base-plated onto existing concrete, and we supply matching single-leaf or double-leaf swing gates and sliding gates from the same tooling so the gate line matches the fence line.
The finish is where a fence either lasts or does not. Our standard route is hot-dip galvanized wire, or galvanized wire followed by a polyester powder coat, with the powder applied over the zinc so the two layers protect each other - zinc sacrifices itself at scratches, and the powder holds the colour. Panels come in the usual commercial colours, and we match to a RAL reference when a project specifies one. Panels that will sit within a few hundred metres of the sea, or next to a road that gets salted in winter, should be quoted on a heavier zinc coating - tell us the site conditions and we will specify accordingly rather than selling you a standard panel into a corrosive environment.
Panels fix to posts with clamps rather than loose brackets, supplied in plastic or metal depending on the specification, with anti-theft bolts available for public-facing sites. The clamp holds the panel against the post without drilling through the coating, so the anti-corrosion layer stays intact at the fixing point - which is exactly where cheaper installations start rusting.
Where These Go, and What We Can Change
Curved mesh fencing is the default choice for industrial estate boundaries, warehouse and logistics yards, schools and sports grounds, substations, solar and wind farm perimeters, and residential developments where the client wants security without a prison look. It reads as lighter and more open than palisade or 358 mesh, which is often the deciding factor on sites where planning approval or a residents' association has a say.
As a manufacturer we customise the usual variables: panel height and width, wire diameter, aperture size, number of bends, post type and wall thickness, coating system, colour, clamp type, and whether the top edge is left flat or formed for barbed wire or razor wire extensions. For projects that need higher security, we also produce 358 anti-climb mesh and palisade fencing on separate lines - if your brief is climbing resistance rather than general boundary definition, ask for those instead.
Panels are stacked and bundled for container loading with corner protection and steel strapping, and we can mix panel heights in a single container to match a phased site plan. Send us your panel dimensions, quantity and destination port, and we will come back with a price, a packing layout and a production schedule you can check before committing.
FAQ
What is the difference between 3D curved fence and flat welded mesh panel fence?
The 3D panel has triangular bends pressed into it, which makes it considerably stiffer at the same wire gauge. A flat panel needs thicker wire or extra horizontal reinforcement to reach the same rigidity, so the curved panel gives you the strength at a lower steel weight.
How many bends are on a standard panel?
Three is the common configuration on taller panels, with fewer bends on shorter ones. The number depends on panel height - we can adjust it, and we will tell you what we recommend for your height rather than defaulting.
Is 3D curved fencing anti-climb?
It is a boundary fence, not a certified anti-climb barrier. The tight aperture makes it awkward to get a foothold, but if climbing resistance is the actual requirement, 358 mesh with the small aperture, or palisade with pointed pales, is the right product. We make both.
Which post should I choose?
Square posts suit most industrial runs and are the most economical. Rectangular posts are used where the fence is taller or the ground is exposed. Peach posts are chosen mainly for the appearance and the anti-climb profile on commercial and residential sites. We can quote the same panel on each post type so you can compare.
How long will the coating last?
That depends on the coating system and the site, not on a number we can promise in a product page. Galvanized plus powder coat on a normal inland site is a long-service finish; coastal or roadside sites need a heavier zinc specification. Tell us the location and we will specify honestly.
Can it be installed on sloped ground?
Yes. Panels can be stepped down a slope in increments, or installed with a raked post layout, depending on how steep the ground is. Send us the gradient and the length of the run and we will advise which approach suits better.
What are your minimum order and lead time?
Both depend on panel size and finish. Standard specifications have shorter production times than custom colours or non-standard apertures. Send your quantity and specification and we will confirm the schedule along with the container loading plan.
