Product Overview

Our Galvanized Steel Hesco Barrier is built for long-term durability in the most demanding outdoor environments. Every unit is constructed from premium low-carbon steel wire and protected by a thick hot-dip galvanized zinc coating (minimum 240g/m², up to 300g/m² for heavy-duty models), providing superior corrosion resistance against rain, humidity, salt spray, and soil contact. For coastal or highly corrosive environments, we also offer Galfan (zinc-5% aluminum alloy) coating with up to 3x the service life of standard galvanization.
The galvanization process is applied after welding, ensuring complete coverage at every joint and intersection – no unprotected cut edges. Combined with our UV-stabilized geotextile liner, these barriers deliver reliable performance for 10–20+ years, making them ideal for permanent installations, long-term deployments, and projects in harsh climates.
Why Hot-Dip Galvanized?
Complete Coating Coverage
Hot-dip galvanizing metallurgically bonds zinc to the steel surface, including hard-to-reach weld joints and wire intersections, unlike electroplating which can leave gaps.
01
Thick, Abrasion-Resistant Layer
The zinc-iron alloy layers formed during hot-dipping are harder than the base steel, resisting scratches and abrasion during transport and installation.
02
Cathodic Protection
Zinc acts as a sacrificial anode; even if the coating is scratched, the surrounding zinc continues to protect the exposed steel from rust.
03
Low Lifecycle Cost
No painting or maintenance required; the barrier can remain outdoors for over a decade without re-coating.
04
Consistent Quality
Our automated galvanizing line maintains precise temperature and immersion time control, ensuring uniform coating thickness across every batch.

FAQ
1.How long will the galvanized coating last in coastal areas?
A: Standard 240g/m² galvanizing lasts approximately 8–12 years in coastal salt spray environments. For coastal projects, we strongly recommend Galfan (Zn-5%Al) coating, which extends service life to 20+ years.
2.Can the barrier be used on sloped ground?
A: Yes. The flexible mesh structure conforms to moderate slopes (up to 10°). For steeper terrain, units can be terraced in a stepped configuration.
3.What happens if the galvanized coating is damaged during installation?
A: Minor scratches are protected by zinc's cathodic (sacrificial) action. For larger damaged areas, we supply zinc-rich cold galvanizing spray for touch-up repairs.
4.Is the geotextile liner replaceable?
A: Yes. If the liner is damaged, it can be patched with geotextile repair tape or replaced entirely. We stock replacement liners for all standard models.
